Mr. François Lareau
55-890 Cahill Dr. W.
Dear Mr. Lareau,
I have your letter of August 24 concerning the General Part of the Criminal Law. You may be assured that I shall bring your concerns before the Commissioners at our next regular meeting of October 2.
I should point out, however, that the Commission has adopted a policy to govern its interventions in the public domain on matters that do not currently form part of its research agenda. No doubt the Commissioners will carefully consider your request in the light of this policy.
Should you wish to know exactly what research projects we are currently undertaking you may wish to check out our web-site at www.lcc.gc.ca.
Thank you for your interest in our work. Please do not hesitate to contact me after our October meeting should you wish further information about our work.
